Fun & Games
Random pickers and quick browser games, kept completely separate from the timer tools. Spin a wheel, roll dice, flip a coin, or find out how fast your reflexes really are — all free, all in the browser.
Random pickers
For choosing who goes next, settling an argument, or breaking a tie.
Themed name pickers
Same fair draw, four different shows — pull it from a hat, pop it out of a box, grab it with a claw, or flash it across a wall.
Quick games
Short, single-player games you can finish in under a minute.
Why a fun section on a timer site?
TimerHubs started as a set of timing tools for coaching adaptive sports, and the same rooms that need a stopwatch usually need a fair way to choose who goes first. Coaches draw lanes. Teachers pick who reads next. Parents settle whose turn it is on the console. A wheel or a dice roll takes the decision out of an adult's hands, and nobody argues with a spinner.
The games came from the same place. Between heats and between lessons there is dead time, and a thirty-second reaction test or a round of memory match fills it without anyone downloading an app or creating a login. They also happen to be honest demonstrations of the timing engine that powers the stopwatch: the reaction test measures in real milliseconds, not rounded frames.
Good ways to use these in a classroom
Use the spinner wheel for cold-call questions so participation feels random rather than targeted. Use the random number generator to pick a page number, a problem set, or a locker for a prize. Pair the dice roller with a movement chart — roll a four, do four jumping jacks — when a class needs a brain break. And when the break is over, the visual timer brings everyone back without raising your voice.
Fair, private, and offline-friendly
Nothing here talks to a server while you play. Randomness comes from your own device, scores stay in your own browser, and the pages keep working if the Wi-Fi drops mid-lesson. That also means results cannot be rigged remotely, which matters when a wheel is deciding who gets the last cupcake.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the games and pickers really free?+
Yes. Every picker and game on TimerHubs is free, runs in your browser, and never asks for an account, an email address or a download.
Are the results actually random?+
The spinner wheel, dice roller, coin flip and number generator all use your browser's built-in random number generator. Nothing is weighted and nothing is stored on a server, so each result is independent of the last.
Do these work on a classroom projector or smartboard?+
Yes. Every page scales to full screen and uses large type so results are readable from the back of a room. They also work on phones and tablets with touch.
Do my lists and high scores get saved?+
Wheel option lists and personal-best scores are saved to your browser's local storage on that device only. Clearing your browser data removes them, and nothing is ever uploaded.
Why are the games separate from the timers?+
Timers are work tools and games are not. Keeping them on separate sections means the stopwatch and countdown pages stay fast and distraction-free while the fun stuff lives in its own hub at /fun.
